^^^ you confuse me,first you ask for a mentor to teach you(because you have never handled a dog),a week later your looking to buy kennels and teaser's and the whole lot now another week later you wanting to buy your first dog to train..... YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF INTO...to behonest madlee i have throw aways i would rather put down then give to somebody who has no idea about the make up and handling of a greyhound.....you asked what a handling license was??? sweety now you need a trainers license.....i offerd to help you and teach you some basics and you said yes when you get you license you will take my offer up....sweety you carnt dink a dog on a push bike...and i doubt there will be anbody stupid enough to give you a dog.... i have seen a few post here where people have offerd to help you and you havent appeared to take anyones advice...so this reply may seem harsh to you but shit happends...

Would have to agree, you need to learn how to train a greyhound for racing before jumping in. Its not like looking after a regular dog, there is much more work.

I would recommend accepting the help of a few members here after you have learnt how to train a greyhound then look at getting a cheap or giveaway dog to race.

bahaha yes.....where you going to work them? behind your push bike??
what you going to feed them? you dont even have kennels...you wouldnt no how to have a dog cleared to race...your problem is you dont want to listen to people who no alot more then you do....im no rocket scientist but by the looks of it you would struggle to sign your own name....dont waste your time no racing body will give you a trainers license when you dont even no how to put a muzzle on

I have to agree with Nick, you should learn from those that know alot more than you do with how to train a greyhound.

Honestly to be fair to the dog i wouldnt recommend purchasing a greyhound until you know how to look after it, train it and learn about racing in general such as how to nominate for a race how to transport the dog correctly etc before commiting and buying one.

Im going to stop a few arguments and close the thread.
