Looking at the list and seeing Bond on top prompts me to mention that I was very recently looking at the run-home times at Sandown 515. When Bond ran his 29.38 in the Shootout and 29.40 or whatever in a full field the following week, he ran final sections of 10.51 and 10.50 respectively. Let me tell you that this is really going. I am sure that it would not be the fastest run-home but the best I can find is Sky Hazzard who ran 10.48 in October 06. Let me tell you that there are some pretty good and strong dogs who have not been able to run the times of Sky Hazzard and Bond, that is, Group 1 dogs. I looked up quite a few. I know that Sandown does not have a 600 but just imagine what sort of time Bond might have run for 600 or did he have a go and I am not aware. I could look it up but I let someone else tell me. To be honest I am not sure how he went at The Meadows where there is a 600..

It's not his job to plan the breeding and learn what produces well.
To study pedigrees, learn what's there and pick out what to sell.
It's not his job to guarantee champs, the breeder picks the pair.
To mate and whelp and feed and show and HOPE the champ is there.

It's not his job to be on hand when points are given out,
The breeder, owner, Dam and friends take credit with a shout.
It's not his job to deliver a winner, it's only genes he sells.
But let the puppies turn out BAD and guess who catches HELL!!!

Although my two Bond pups turned out not much good (gave 1 away and sent the other interstate) I still think Bond is a very good sire!! It amazes me that most people havn't got a good word to say about him as a sire but he is defying the odds and putting the numbers on the board! If they don't put his fee up through the roof like alot of other studmasters have done with there sires that were successful early in their career he "could" turn out to be another Token Prince!!!
