Default Betting on Box Positions

Who hear bets on certain box's?

I seem to favour runners in box 1, you can usually get some value out of long odd runners who jump from the inside.

Ive had wins with $15+ dogs simply using this method.

Also i nearly always include it in my Trifecta selections.

Anyone else do this?

Depends on the track i reckon....like i was told by Jaime and Brad that the 1 at Nowra is the worst unless you are the quickest starter ever!! Also depends on the dog..(railer or not) I do like the 1, 7 and 8 though.

Agree with Keswick, wouldnt pick the 1 at Lismore or I think Casino unless its the hardest jumper going. I tend to go box 3 or 4 there. Angle Park is definitely one for the bookends.

Yep Angle and Mandurah are the best for the Box 1 tipping.

With the dogs, usually bet standout trifecta's 1 dog to win and 3 dogs to fill the placings. 1/2 unit costs $3.00 for a 50% return on the dividend.

Enjoy this way of punting when having a quiet beer at the pub usually get a few up that pays for the beer also when rugged up on the lounge with a cup of tea.

the dogs: boxes 1-8 1 is inside closest to rail 8 being outside.
1 and 8 tend to have the ability to get out better as they have room on one side of them that the other dogs dont, if you look them up there should be statistics for wins from each box at each track, they are pretty indicative of the way it works
