Heavens Coops, what are you like on race day? The one that should be worried is that bitch of yours, Star Lifter. If she does not "get a move on", she might have something to worry about. She can't just depend on your good nature.

My blood pressure is usually in the 80-90/110-120 range ;-) just being around the dogs calms me down. Im always on the go and hyper but when I pat a dog, boy, do I feel sleepy ;-) Actually I had the same dilemma as you today. Trying to plan where to race next week after a good night last Friday night with 2 winners and 3 placings. Took me about half an hour to work out where I will go. I won't say where just in case you guys follow me around lol The only way you'll find out is after box draw ;-) Uh huh here comes my house pet Tasha ("Venus Express" now a proven dam!) nooooo nooooo... please stop me from patting and cuddling her!! Too late... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzz |

There you go Coops, Lily has the answer for you, her blood pressure is pretty good, better than mine but I am a senior. As all you need to do is pat Star Lifter a lot and if she is not around find something else soft and furry to pat.

Just got back from vets. Found broken fibular bone. I checked her the day before her race and all was ok. Now has this injury after her race. Could have done it in the race or in the catching pen when she pulled up. I'm not looking for excuses coz I know she's not fast on the straight tracks. The best she's done there is 16.55 and she got beat in 16.21
Anyway, got to fix her now and get her back on the track. About 3 weeks off I'd say. coops |

No good Coops, sorry to read this. "3 weeks", sounds very soon to be back on the track. I hurt my little finger (left hand) several months back breaking up a fight at the local club between two 20 something year olds and it is still buggered. However, Star Lifter is probably a bit tougher than me, wouldn't be hard. Your vet of course knows best, certainly better than me. Good luck with her.
