Red face Big Hello From New Kennel Girl!!

Just was googling along for some of the info I'm going to be needing, and stumbled onto this forum, so thought I'd stick around, as there are some clever people here who know a LOT more than me!

I am starting soon, est 6 weekish, pending house removal and power installation at premises, as it's about 45 min from my place.

I will be learning how to care for, break in, and race the dogs with my friend, so figure I need to know a lot more than I do now. Anyone fancy mentoring a young girl who adores greyhounds, and now will have her dream job of working with them??

Even if you don't, just say hi anyway! I'm very sociable!

x
Bez

Hi Bez! If you love greyhounds then you've got a dream start to your career ;-) Nothing beats the experience of working for and learning the ropes from an experienced trainer/breeder.

cheers

P.S what part of state are you in? Are you in Australia? Do you have any nearby trainers who you can go to for advice?

Hello Bez, welcome to our forums. Here you will learn more about gryhound than you could even imagine. There are more talented people than you can poke a stick at just waiting to give you advise on anything to do with training a greyhound.

Lillyflowerandroxy is just one of them with these talents.

Just ask away.

Default Thanks guys!!

I'm in QLD, Australia. I live in Toowoomba, and will be working near Gatton/Esk kinda area. To be honest, I'm not even really sure where the hell it is.....

Rural areas are kind of a mystery to me. I grew up on the gold coast until I was 15, then moved to Toowoomba and have been trapped here for 9 years. It's a sticky town! Hahaha!!

I just need to know everything I can learn about training and caring for greyhounds. I'm going to start out catching, and then breaking.

I dont have local trainers to teach me as far as Im aware, apart from my friend, so I will be relying solely on what I can learn from the internet.

xxx
