I am becoming more and more surer that Danehill will never sire a cup winner. I know Profound Beuty will be back but, theres just something about them. Even his best stayers seem to hit that imaginary brick wall at around the 100m mark. Also if Profound Beauty comes back youd think she gets around 54-55kg, not too sure. Next Melbourne Cup - 365 days away.

Viewed though, Unplaced in four Melbourne runs. Unlucky but still last in the Mackinnon. 10th in the Caulfield Cup. In the past the cup has been a race that is won by horses that have good form but in the last 2 years this has not been the case. They say loyalty pays off in racing and so it does, I backed Viewed in the Brisbane Cup but signs were saying that he was a mudlark, due to his form on dry tracks. Didn't back him though, like most you'd think.
Also look for the follow up of the stewards inquiry tomorrow. They can't enforce much of a punishment on the jockeys (because they do not ride in Aus) but if they can proove that Aidan O'brien planned this pacemaker crap he may even be banned from competing in the Cup next year. My opinion of him has dropped after today. When you think about it they call him the best, but a lot of his group one winners have stablemates in the races setting an ideal pace for his true contenders. This time it worked against him look how his horses went, and he deserves it.

Cant beleive viewed won this race he had the worst form coming into the race out of the whole field.

I honestly think no punter that knew anything about the horses would have bet on him, it was a day for the bookies!

Septimus was very disappointing i feel sorry for the person who put $60,000 on it to win.

Should have backed Viewed, backed him 3 runs ago and he has been a tad unlucky but thought the good track would stop him. Backed C'est La Guerre (always back Lloyd's horses) was a certainty beat after Gallopin stopped dead in front of him!
