Hi everybody. Yesterday many cup hopefuls like Viewed, Kibbutz, Weekend Hussler and of course Efficient stepped out as part of their cups campains, but did anyone notice a standout runners or anything that we should take into consideration for certain horses etc.
Also what went wrong with Light Fantastic? You could say that he only beat the Hussler in the Liston because Hussler had an injury and had a bad run, but lets not forget he also beat Maldivian in that run and he's come out as a huge caulfield cup contender, so what exactly went wrong in the Makybe stakes run?
And yesterday we saw great triumphs like from Marveen, Weekend Hussler and of course Bon Hoffa, but what about the not so good runs or the 'failures' from horses like Augusta Proud and Largo Lad? What went wrong for these horses?

let me tell ya now Light fantastic wont beat Weekend Hussler for the rest of the spring unless the Hussler runs into some really bad luck, however by the same token it wasn't LF's best ever run. Mick Price also said in the lead up to the Makybe Diva that LF had only improved since his run in the Liston.
Kibbutz had the blinkers on yesterday and I'm starting to have my doubts about him but lets just wait and see how he goes in a staying event. Viewed can only perform very well if its wet - he's a mudlark, but even so it wasnt his distance yesterday.
Also I'd say Lloyd Williams would have been very happy with Efficient's run.. but does anyone know why Michael Rodd wasnt on him yesterday?!

Yeah not too sure why Arnold got the ride on efficient. Im starting to wonder if Rodd's not riding much anymore for Williams because he seems to be riding a lot more for Bart lately and Arnold seems to be riding a lot more for Williams...
Also what about Devil Moon? Wouldnt say failure, more of a disapointment.
