Smile Owning a Nag

my horse has just come back into work after a 3 to 4 month lay off.now i have to wait another 2 to 3 months to wait to race again.with all the big races on at the moment my patience has been tested and just cant wait until it hits the track again.i just love the races but it drives me nuts waiting for it to run again.i have owned horses for 20 odd years and still get a great buzz and still as impatiant as ever, cheers jim

well its been worth all the wait, eureka joh has won his maiden at bathurst and yesturday he won his second race at parkes .great win considering he had the outside barrier and had to work at both ends of the race,he went to the lead and was headed a 100m out but fort back to win by a nose.it doesnt matter if it is at randwick or parkes its still a buzz.cheers

Good onya Jimdog congrats. Those winners are hard to get. My cousin (he's 68 or whatever), has a share in one of these rent a horse things. This one uses the Kavanagh stable. There were 3 horses but Romanoff Limits who did win his first 2 starts (not a bad effort) broke a leg recently and is finished as far as racing is concerned. He had run 2nd at his previous start at Sandown. Another one, Mystera, is racing on Thursday in Vic somewhere. I think she won one race in Vic but most notably ran 2nd to Shocking more than a year ago when he won his maiden. She might win another race or two some time but when??? The other one Volavio ran 4th at his first start recently, he is also in on Thursday. He showed pace at his first start and based on my judgement should win a race or two but when??? It was bad luck for them about Romanoff Limits but overall I think they have done pretty good to get 3 horses like these three. Once again Jimdog, good luck for the future with Eureka Joh.

Congrats Jimdog!! Racing in any code is all about patience so I'm glad yours has been rewarded!! I rekon the worst time is the day after they race as you know it will be atleast a week until they go around again!!!

thanks guys, patience and horse racing go hand in hand but itdoes test you .i simply love horse racing and have since i was 17 or 18.luck has a lot to do with it and usually bad luck we find .great thrill to see them get up by a nose so next up he will race in 2 weeks and see how we go.it was only $6300 a win but the horse is bobs bonus so we get an extra $5000 so it pays a few bills.now i have to get these pups racing and have a few wins ,cheers jim
