Horse systems
Howdy Peoples,
this i my first post into this interesting entertaining forum. Just curious as to what systems people use to make selections in any code but more specifically Horse Racing. I made up a system picking out rules from various other systems that were published in PPM and made up some of my own. the following is the basic rules i have for my system 1 - 75% place strike rate 2 - 15% win strike rate 3 - DAYS LAST START *14 days for races beyond 1600m *21 days for races upto 1600m 4 - DISTANCE 200m either side for races upto 1600m 400m either side for races beyond 1600m 5 - Horse must race 'HANDY' settle no worse then 5th-8th and be in the first 4 at the turn. 6 - TRACK CONDITIONS - horse must have shown an ability to handle the current track conditions. If the Track conditions change dramatically then no bet - eg from good/dead to slow/heavy or vice versa 7 HORSE must have placed last start or beaten within 3 lengths of winner |

now I'm thinking do I have a minimum number of race starts for a horse to be a selection - say 10.
do I bring in average prizemoney?? im looking at weather I should use a points system for the last rule in the Horse must be placed last start. 4 points for a win 3 for second 2 for third 1 for unplaced within 3 lengths then thinking of bringing in barriers barrier 1-7 3 points 8-15 2 points 16+ 1 point Horse must have won at TRACK/DISTANCE????? Bonus for a horse thats trained on the track - home ground advantage???? pre-post betting - eliminate any selection over $15??? |

Don't punt much on the horses, bet more on greyhounds or sports betting.
There's two old blokes at the tab. One does his shopping never looks at a formguide, then walks into the tab after his finished his shopping, places $100 on the next race favourite. Walks to the bar, has a pot watches the race then walks out. Doesn't return or have a bet until the next Saturday. Bloke number two his system is back a last start winner stepping up in distance. But odds must be over $3.50 |
