Jeff Lloyd Off to Join Hong Kong Riding Ranks

South African jockey Jeff Lloyd is leaving Sydney to join the riding ranks in Hong Kong.

Lloyd, 47, has been a big hit in Sydney since arriving in 2007 riding in excess of 100 winners with feature victories including the Group I AJC Australian Derby aboard Nom Du Jeu along with Group Two wins in the Chelmsford Stakes, Theo Marks Handicap, Ajax Stakes, Challenge Stakes and Breeders’ Classic.

Lloyd’s contract commences on March 16 through until the conclusion of the current 2008/2009 racing season.

The internationally renowned jockey has ridden in Hong Kong previously during the 1993/1994 racing season, at which time he rode 9 winners from 81 race rides.

In a riding career that spans 32 years, Lloyd has won 88 Group One winners and in excess of 4100 winners throughout his career.
