Typhoon Tracy spell puts clash on hold

A much-anticipated clash between top Sydney mare Hot Danish and unbeaten Melbourne filly Typhoon Tracy will have to wait for another time.
Trainer Peter Moody has decided to spell the Coolmore Classic winner instead of taking on Hot Danish in the Group I Queen of the Turf Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.
With Glen Boss in the saddle, Typhoon Tracy left a huge impression on the Sydney racing scene with her fighting win in the Coolmore Classic, taking her unbeaten run to five.
“We decided to look after her and give her a good break,” Moody said.
Moody said the daughter of Red Ransom would go to the spelling paddock in great order but the decision was made to give the filly a chance to develop with a spring campaign in mind.
The Caulfield trainer said there were no firm spring plans for Typhoon Tracy, saying they will be decided while the rising-four-year-old is spelling.
