Harness Racing in NSW 'under the Whip'
Fellow punters,
Under the whip would like to introduce himself to the forum with the title summarising my overall discussion. With the harassment of the only lady steward in NSW, HRNSW is well and truly been knocked for a six. Couple this with this of the mis-management of the HRA, and with HRNSW saying nothing, I cant wait for the overall bleeding to stop! Add to that the most dismal fields tonight I have ever seen at Bulli, HRNSW is again under the whip. Come on NSW, where is the leadership??? Who manages this industry, the punters and participants, or some autocrats stuck in a Bankstown time-warp? UTW |

Good grief you lot, whats the matter, cat got your tougue or has the dog bit off your fingers on both hands.
Here's something to help you get over what is wrong wiff ya. I sat in the foyer of the vets the other day and watch a young greyhound just about to be put down for not being fast enough. As I watched through the surgery door the dog turned his head and looked at me with big sad eyes. I thought to myself that this dog knows what going to happen to him. I've often wondered what a greyhound would be thinking to it'sself on a moment like this. Maybe something like this..... Ever since I can remember I have wanted to be fast, To race the tracks of Australia with everyone watching me with a gasp. I've longed to race at some place that will not break my heart, And live a life of greatness that no-one can tear apart. To run along the beaches and feel the water splashing, oh now wouldn't that be grand. To smell the fresh new grass as it breaks through natures soil. And even have my ears scratched by a friend forever loyal. But time is running out and I feel darkness has awoke. To cover all the hope and all the dreams of which I've spoke. I see the vet walk toward him with that needle in his hand. He closes his eyes forever, leaving paw prints in the sand. yosemitegall |
