Russell is a great guy and will always make sure your greyhounds are sent with the best care possible. When flying our dogs, Team Bundy only use OzPets....

I spoke to them about moving three dogs from qld to tassie. Cause of where they were and how much it would cost he advised me to go elsewhere. He was honest and very professional. And next time i go to move dogs these guys are the first ill call to see if they can do it. Not often do you get that level of truthfulness in business. I was really pleased. He was also only to happy to help with further advice on how to get them moved for the best price.

I have to get a 4mths old pup from QLD to Vic very soon, so I had to ring Jetpets, who quoted me $220 airport to airport, plus they also emailed me a list of road transport who can pick up from the airport and deliver to my place. GTE an extra $80 so all up would cost $300. YIKES... but I guess flying would be a hell of a lot cheaper than having to organise road transport as they would have to change over a few times en route to meet up with another transporter.

If anybody can beat the $300 quote, please let me know as Im all EARS ;-D

Lianne,

I think flight is your best option as it is i think $100 maybe more for Road Qld-NSW. The GTE is $120 i think from NSW to Vic, not sure if charge more to go out your way or if its already on her route?

So by road or flights is 220-300 - 12hr drive from Qld, then a 15hr drive from Richmond where Qld trip stops to your place.. maybe even longer if GTE has to go eastern Vic... Probably a good 30 hours of driving. Then having to stay at a ''strangers place'' As coming from Qld if doing a Renzo GTE link up, will have to stay at Bruce Carrs...

Would all IMO be too much for a 4 month old puppy.

But might be worth finding out how much GTE from Bruce Carrs in Richmond to your place. As itll end up being $80 maximum difference, but probably well worth it!.

HIGHLY recommend OzPets. I transported by pride and joy to Vic via flights and she arrived in immaculate condition for a first time flier, an first time leaving her 'mum'

I'd pay that little extra for the extra care OzPets take

This is definitely not intended as a comment against using airfreight for transporting dogs but it doesn't matter what one does, there is always the risk of a problem occurring. Wasn't it just last year that Sam Sultana airfreighted Mandagery Man down to Melbourne for a trial prior to the 2007 Topgun. They placed next to Mandagery a crate containing two Baboons. Not surprisingly Mandagery Man went off his rocker, injured his shoulder and as I recall missed the Topgun. Sounds like gross negligence. Human error or were the ones in the crate not the only "Baboons" involved.

YUT,

Ozpets had MM booked in, and it was to be a ''dog only'' flight as they arrange for all. Then last minute the baboons had to change flights which qantas organised, and Ozpets were not aware as it was last minute.

Thanks for this info Chook. I did not even know that Ozpets was involved. I just felt very sorry for Sam and of course Mandagery.
