Default Healesville?

Anyone been there for trials? I'm guessing you need your own catchers for feild trials? Also is their dress code for races the same as Tab meets or is it a little more lax?

oh that's right, you don't have catchers in Ireland? lol

All tracks in Australia requires trainers to have catchers (in the catching pen ;-) ) to catch and bring the dogs back to them after the race.

TAB and city tracks are more stricter than country tracks, if you don't supply a catcher for your dog, you can be fined.

Because most of the time the catching pen is 200m from the starting boxes.

Noel mate, we in Australia can't run as fast as you Irish blokes. The dogs would get to the catching pen long before we can get their. This is why we need some one to catch them for us.

Healsville is a straight track too Noel and 340m is a long way to go!!
You definately need to take a catcher or give one of the kids running around $5 if its after the races! By the time you walk back up there has already been another 2-3 trials so its probably ideal to have your own catcher who can take the dog straight over the wash down area instead of it going off its head listening to the lure another couple of times waiting for you.
Its a great little track and always a good day out!!
