Ring GRV
Phone (03) 8329 1100

Ask them if they are able to put you onto some trainers in the area that have a large team - Like P Giles, G Bate as they have a rather large team of racing and most likely could do with the ''extra'' hand with handling and possibly doing some work at their property.

If theyre able to pass on a number, ring them up and explain to them you REALLY want to get into the game and learn things and they may give the chance to go to their property a few times a week to help out. Giving yourself enough time and experience, when you feel ready these are the people who should be able to help you buy your first greyhound if wanting to partake in ownership.

Good Luck heading into it.

Also inquire about getting a handlers licence as this would be the first thing anyone would ask when getting someone on board theyre training team as they would probably require you to catch their dogs on race meets to which you would need a licence.
