ive sent you a pm,i may be able to help you as i live local

i wouldnt be calling the big name trainers either,i no alot of people who have worked for the bate's team,if your into slave labour you will enjoy it and the thing is you wont learn much as they dont have the time to stop and show you...... i was very luck when i started out,i posted a simillar post on an other forum and i recieved an email from robbie britton inviting me to come down and have a look at how he does things....i had been in greyhounds long enough to no basics i.e muzzles, toilet time, catching, boxing ext but when all of a sudden you have 16 dogs to trial and there is otheres waiting there turn lol becomes very full on....so id be keep away from the big names until you no basics and no them well...better off starting with a smaller kennel and get a bit of hands on and experience first

Well I'd offer my time and help if Madlee would like to learn the basics in everything from handling a dog, going to trials, the right muzzle sizes, how tight the collar should be on the dogs' necks, how their weight should be, feeding, care of the pups and broods etc etc

Don't know about the distance thing though, I live about 4 half hours west of Melbourne, actually about 2 half hours from Ballarat.

PM me, Madlee, if you're interested.

cheers
