Hello all,
New to forum. I have always enjoyed greyhounds and watching them race. I am considering purchasing my own hound and training it myself. Do you all recommend i purchase a pup, broken, or a racer? this may sound like a silly question but can i keep the dog inside the house as a pet and still train him/her and race it too? I see everyone has kennels and stuff outside. I dont though. we have had whippets in the past and always enjoyed their company and im sure greyhounds are quite similar. I am looking to spend under a thousand for a dog, ye i know it probably wont be the best for that price, but i am fine with that. I am in south australia. I guess i would need to register with the greyhound association to start, is this correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any other advice?
