What is the chance of the Final field being: Risk It, Tayza, Chinatown Lad, Fallen Zorro, Gunnadoo Magic, Western Land, Lilley Criminal and maybe Princess Bale although she seems to be a real risk. Kulu or Awesimus may fill the final spot. However, what would I know, "not much" is the answer. I am only a casual observer of form and of course anything can happen.

I did not do too well with my Bold Trease Final field prediction. One did not need to be Einstein to come up with the 5 plus a reserve that I picked and did make it. Daphne Mavis was for me a "surprise packet". I notice on looking at her form that she performed very well in April of this year behind very good stayers like, Just Friends, Rebel Angel and Elektra (at Cannington). She finished only 1.5 lens behind Fallen Zorro and that was after being checked off the heels of Princes Bale in the home straight. Princess Bale put in a good effort and might improve significantly. Can anyone provide a bit of special knowledge about Daphne Mavis that is not obvious from the form guide. She has won only 4 races. For example, does she often find a way to get into trouble.

I think it was great to see Fallen Zorro get up for the Tassie people, especially after Shane W's disappointment with Chinatown in the heats. What's the story with these 42.6 or so times in the heats and the final. We know Fallen Z can run very close to 42.0, she has done it. She had to come from behind so you can't expect her to run real flash time but 42.63 or whatever, is at face value, pretty ordinary. The track must have had the sting out of it the last couple of weeks. They ran 29.80 in race 7. Lilley Criminal's run looked very ordinary but of course I don't know what might have gone wrong with her.
