GRV site article shows Made to Size as $2.75 favourite. I really like Made to Size as a greyhound and hope that he does win but 7/4 is a bit short for me. I think he is 'under the odds'. I was on him in his heat and although coming from the 4 box, $4.00 or thereabouts was at least a fair price. There are plenty of realistic chances in this final.

I agree i think $2.75 is a bit short, ill see what price Bate's greyhounds are at as they may be some value.

Surgeon was slow out. Nitro Burst and Teaman Titch collided soon after the start checking Teaman Titch. Nitro Burst contacted the running rail on the first turn. Made To Size and Velocette collided on the first turn checking Velocette and Surgeon and severely checking Made To Size which checked Amity Bale, Kendale Bale and Teaman Titch. Nitro Burst and Velocette collided on the second turn checking Velocette. Kendale Bale and Amity Bale collided approaching the home turn. Surgeon veered in and marred the running of Hanify's Impact in the home straight.
Surgeon was vetted following the event it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Surgeon with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Sandown Park and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.
Samples were taken from Surgeon winner of the event.
Samples were taken from Hanify's Impact placed 2nd in the event.
Samples were taken from Nitro Burst placed 3rd in the event.

Stewards reminded licensed person Miss.S.Hood of her responsibilities regarding her comments behind the boxes at the conclusion of the event. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer J Thompson regarding his comments and conduct behind the boxes at the conclusion of the event.
