Default El Galo Swab Positive

El Galo returns positive swab

Greyhound Racing Victoria has been notified by Racing analytical Services Limited (RASL) that analysis of the preliminary urine sample taken from the greyhound “EL GALO” following its win in Race 8 (the TOPGUN) held at The Meadows on 25th October, 2008 indicates the presence of the drug N-BUTYLHYOSCINE.

Stewards have served notification to the Trainer, Mr. Jason Thompson of Pearcedale, and the Owner, Ms. Seona Hood also of Pearcedale, by way of a kennel inspection conducted today.
An Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding this finding will be held at a date to be fixed.

Yes I was disturbed when I saw this on the GRV site a few days ago. I really do hope that this works out as well as possible for Jason and Seona. I have dealt with Jason only once (when I was working), he seemed like a really nice guy.

As a matter of interest/concern only, can anyone tell me whether there have been any more developments with regard to this matter.
