Myself and couple of mates went to Wentworth Park last night. Had a great night on the punt and the whole night had like a Easter egg final night atmosphere with the big crowd and the new renovations done recently looked great. Congrats to all connections of both Sprint and Distance winners and placegetters. Chinatown Lad what great dog breaking the track record being first dog under 42sec at Wentworth Park unbelievable to see this dog run that time and Well Done Connections also. cheers dougie

RACE 6 RAPIDVITE NATIONAL DISTANCE CHAMPIONSHIP – NG – 720M
COMMENT: Won by the second favourite MANTRA LAD(3). The favourite MIAGI(8)
finished fifth.
INCIDENTS: TAYZA(4) checked off the heels of TOKEN NED(2) at the first turn. A veterinary
examination of MIAGI(8) revealed the greyhound to be sore in both wrists with an
incapacitation certificate issued for ten days from 30.8.08. The first three place
getters MANTRA LAD(3), REBEL ANGEL(5) and FALLEN ZORRO(6) were
locked away and urine specimens to be obtained under the GHRRA swabbing
policy.

RACE 8 RAPIDVITE NATIONAL SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL – NG – 520M
COMMENT: Won by the favourite KNOCKA NORRIS(5). The second favourite
SNOZZ(2) finished fourth.
INCIDENTS: MOUNTAIN OF LOVE(6) was slowly away. KNOCKA NORRIS(5) checked all
runners with the exception of MOUNTAIN OF LOVE(6) when crossing to the lead
at the first turn. As a result LIGHT ICE LAD(1), DRINK DRIVER(7) and WEST
ON PARIS(8) almost fell. SNOZZ(2) and HENDRIX(9) came together on several
occasions approaching and on the home turn. The first three place getters
KNOCKA NORRIS(5), MOUNTAIN OF LOVE(6) and ALL CAUTION(4) were
locked away and urine specimens obtained under GHRRA swabbing policy.
