Hi all,

Just for a bit of fun a few us recently bought a pup to have a go at the greys. Having been personally involved in horse ownership (with very limited success), I thought a change was needed.

Thought it was great to start from scratch as I had no idea about greyhound pedigrees etc. We did some homework (best we could) and ended up buying a 6 month old pup for $1,800.

She's a blue bitch by Big Daddy Cool out of Obstetrix (Token Prince).
Obstetrix had about 12 wins (and many placings) from about 29 starts in Adelaide (Grade 5).

Plan is to keep her in Sydney if good enough, but if not she's headed to Canberra where we the owners reside.

Hoping to get some comments/opinions from people in the know on her breeding etc.

In a few months time she'll be broken in and we plan to keep her with others in the litter during the process. Would really appreciate any recommendations for a breaker Sydney.

Actually, would really welcome any kind of feedback fullstop!!!

hey mate, good to hear you having a go at the greys, youre pup looks to have quite good breeding so there is no reason to complain on that end, where is she at the moment? are you rearing her yourself, or commercial rearer??

hope she turns out well for you, also if you have pics of her put them up, everybody loves puppy pic's

She's with Anthony Spence in Sydney at the moment. Was advised to keep the litter together during the rearing stage. Still a while off sending her to the breaker. Will most probably go on advice from the breeder as he's been really good to us so far.
I think he sold off a few of the pups and kept the rest himself.

Any reccomendations for breakers and/or trainers in the Sydney area???
