Default Wet Weather Racing

What does everyone think of wet weather racing and betting. Do you just avoid the whole card, or target early leaders.

For me, it is an opportunity to try and back some longer priced runners. For instance Cugatango has won well in the wet at Sandown and paid $12 late last year. Proven over distance and usually finds the lead and that to me provides a good combination fo wet weather racing as I completely ignore times etc, just as long as they have won over distance and can lead.

What are your thoughts on wet weather racing?

Yep, wet weather is good for long odd betting. I try and bet on the smaller sized dogs as they dont seem to get affected as much and dogs from the inside rail as there is usualy more accidents etc.

I tend to skip the card. And keep the dollars in the pocket. Unless I'm on track.

I like to back dogs that run over more ground and have to be well boxed.
