I have not checked and therefore could be wrong but I think one of Darren McDonalds Pure Inspiration broke the 450 record at Ballarat tonight, 24.78. I think the old record was something like 24.81 or so and held by Whisky Assassin. Fast dog for sure but the 450 times overall seemed to be fairly quick tonight. Think it was a fast track. Another fast one for Pure Octane. These blokes know how to get a fast dog dont they.

ballarat overall is now a fast track since they fixed the drainage, maidens now have to run around 25.50-25.60 12 months ago 25.80 would win you a maiden 9 out of 10 weeks. even in qualis maidens are now breaking 26 with ease where 12 months ago if you broken 26 at the qualis with a maiden you would think you have a very smart dog...fair to say ballarat is the best racing surface in victoria
