Compared to some of you, I have to admit to knowing little about the dogs in the final but based on what I do know about dogs like Repeated, Thai Alert, Proven Diego and Magnifique, the box draw seems to have made this race more open that it would otherwise have been. Could be worth a visit to the Club.

Tough race to pick the winner. Little James in box 1 has the pace to lead this field. Little James recently broke the track record at Richmond over the 330m. I think Thai Alert will be big chance being drawn closer because dogs drawn outside him are hit and miss beginners. Proven Diego recent winner of Bulli Gold Plate will be a great chance if he produces that same run from that race. Repeated, Magnifique have got good chances also. Mahogany Blaze litterbrother of Awesome Hustler has rough chance if there is any trouble in the race very strong dog who has a powerful finish. But my tips are:

My calculator is out of action (currently in the sun seeing if it will re-charge a bit) but my rough calculation is that the odds on offer add up to just over 130%. Maybe this is wrong. Sportsbet is not giving the punter much chance but of course they are not forcing people to have a bet. They certainly won't get me in.
