I quite like it, got a nice 3 x 4 of Malawis Prince and interesting cross with Awesome Assassin, however might want to wait for someone who has seen that cross before to put in an opinion.

Was speaking to Brad he seems to think there is too much inbreeding within the first 3 generations so ive given it a miss.
Been put onto another pup by him so ill be trying to buy him, good price and very good breeding.

I dont know what he has put you onto, but another member of his forums RYLES has been talking to a breeder and has a couple of dogs out of Royal Magnate, I reckon they would be a good lot, with some US blood in there. However if Brad is steering you somewhere you cant go wrong hopefully.

Regarding the first mating you put up.

The cross is not too inbred, BUT of Awesome Assassin i would not touch reason being, his father Light of Fire was an unusual greyhound. One of the only ones to ever bite a person. He was snarly and just a really tough nut greyhound. So doubling up IMO so close could = fighter.

The choice of the Crystal Siyan pup is a gooden.
This is a write up that Brad had done when he was selling syndicate shares...

Crystal Siyan was un-raced with her future set as a mum. She is exceptionally bred being by Bombastic Shiraz out of group producer Crystal Light (x Light Of Fire). 'Light' was a winner of 21 races and 18 placings from 58 starts. Winning the Group 1 Futurity (against 2 of her sisters) and competing in the finals of the G1 Vic Peters Classic and NSW St Leger. Light is already throwing group winners in Foreign Legion (28 wins, 17 minors - Horsham Cup winner, multiple group finalist).

Her dam Winsome Blue was also a multiple city winner and group performer, placing in the Penrith Oaks. Winsome Blue when put to Awesome Assassin (son of Light of Fire) produced the great Winsome Dollars, a winner of 23 races and 19 minors from 63starts (winner of 4 group races and a finalist in another 4 group events). Also proving the consistency yet again, 'Dollars' has thrown sensational NZ superstar Winsome Ashley with striking form of 24starts 20-1-1 accumulating $113,000 in prize money.

Good Luck with the pup Morgan, what have you named her?

I'm thinking of buying a pup, a bitch. I'll only really buy it for breeding and as a pet. It'll only be a family dog but as has got a good sire and dam, both city winners plus it is cheap; I thought it might be worth giving it a try. Would an unraced bitch who has never graced the track but has pretty good bloodlines a chance to throw up some winners? I'll train her and stuff, a lot of excercise; It will not be racing, but I'm sure to keep it nice and healthy.

Any opinions on the matter would be greatly appreciated. (By the way, I'm relatively new to the greyhound industry if you haven't noticed already.)

Why wouldn't you give her a go on the racetrack?? It sounds like she has as good a chance of any of producing a good litter! Good Luck.
