I think you may have missed my original point.
You can't judge a dogs ability froma trial at ricmond for other tracks. I have a dog that has won at Lithgow in 30.36 (slow), than won at The Gardens in 30.21 (Average), Yet will only trial Richmond 31.86 (best he can, has been slower times) Tracks vary from day to day, and no track at all can be a justifed guide for another track. It's senseless and you will never win races consistently unless you trial the dogs at the track you will race, especially as mudgee's traps open different (hand operated) to the automatic ones on tracks at most TAB tracks and the more obvious point you are racing on grass. If in a sense, you wanted too trial your dog in sydney, in preperation for a race at mudgee. Wouldn't Potts park be a more obvious choice at it is both grass and has hand operated traps. Taking your dog would probably be a good thing, as its obvious you have no real idea how too train and the dog in my eyes would only improve... |
