The racing career of a dog is only short I hope he dosn't waist it, in my opinion these records are a bit soft as he has NO opposition in Tas but they are records non the less!! Last night he ran around for about $1400 and grade 5 in melb is worth $4000!! If the Senor does come over for the Thousand I reckon he will give Damek windburn, they have had similar amount of starts now I think and EGS has earned bout $400,000 an Damek only about 50k!!!! I'm not knocking the dog at all I just think that if he wants to stay in Tassie and keep beating moderate opp. then he will never gain the respect of the greater greyhound community?? He just maybe a once in a lifetime dog!! If a dog like Magpie Lomar can come over a be a good city dog then I'm sure Damek could!!

Sadly as far as I know EGS isnt coming for the thousand, I really hope that changes, sorry gippy have to disagree there mate, I reckon the windburned would be the other way around, hopefully he does go back to Vic, would be good to let the paws doing the talking so all the knockers can leave him alone

magpie lomar was bred on the mainland went to tassie and won some good races and went back to mainland to win more races and why does every good dog from anywhere have to be compared to victorian standards wherever you race you can only race against what you are drawn in and they in most cases are not MODERATE dogs if you go by your statement egs is only beating the same dogs every time but are they moderate opposition i think not ,

The point was penny magpie lomar started his racing career here with a big bang and he fizzled just as quick, now 12 months later he is being a decent dog over there after being sacked, don't get me wrong no disrespect to Nathan or patch but I think that was the point gippy was trying to make, he is nowhere near the standard of Damek so if he can do it, I am sure Damek can, please correct me if I am wrong gippy?

i agree with penny in the aspect of along comes a good dog from another state other than vic and straight away its got to go and race in VIC against such and such to be any good
well damek is a GOOD dog and if he goes again and settles in he may well prove how good he is at least he left his home state to try on the mainland and yes he didnt have success
but why hasnt el grand senor gone racing out of victoria oh i know he;s winning his races in vic so does that mean he may not succeed if he goes to another state hmmmm food for thought cheers chub. ????

why would you, he has won 2 group 1s in his home state and 400k in prizmoney mind you 2 of the big 3 group 1s they where aswell

do you really think he would travel to tassie for a grade 5 and $1000?

not sure why he isnt going over for the thousand would of been very interesting, but to date the dog has been placed perfectly and trained perfectly
