Default Accidential Positives!!! Chub

The Dogs - Pickering Suspended & Fined

unfortunatly I cannot comment on the original thread of all of this but one thing that I must say Chub, Sue comment to you regaurding this trainer

'IMO probably higher than 99% of the positives returned are accidental, for instance the last one you published was of a dog who ran 3rd at Coonamble and returned a positive result to Prednisolone and Prednisone which is an anti-inflammatory contained in many ointments, eardrops, eyedrops etc.'

now I dont claim to be a doc of any kind but I do know that Prednisolone is a steriod based drug and its use is for the lungs, as my mother suffering for emphsema and lung cancer this was one of the drugs that she used at the time it is also a controled drug, in the fact that to even get a script for this your doc had to ring and get the number they cant just write a script so for the chance that it is used in oinments as Sue has pointed out there isnt a chance in hell!

Also a friend if mine recently got done for a positive to KETOPROFEN, which is a last ditch drug used on cows when they dont know what is wrong with them, is that fails they are then sent off to the knackery, this particular one in VIC has gotten to date 4 or 5 trainers suspened all for the same drug altho this drug would have no adverse affects on a greys preformance it is still a drug and the rule reads that you must present a drug free dog, and that goes for any drug, this is something that needs to be change, the same as most atheletes, preformance enhansing drugs, there needs to be a prohibeted drug list, cause as of now it is any drug not just certain ones

mind you my friend, small trainer, and impecable record got 3 months first offence

oh and the poppys in the bread lol what a joke, did they forget to fed the dog the bread and just give them a handful of poppys.....

enough with the bull excuses already and people falling for it, there is no place for cheats in greyhound racing......

ORIGINAL THREAD

it was in the meat then source another supplier but they dont they just keep buying CONTAMINATED meat from the same source it was in the bread then dont feed bread my kennel hand he/she was smoking x and injecting x and snorting x but once i found out they were sacked picked up in the carpark the vet had powder on them when getting the sample my dog drank out of the same bowl as other runners a person in the crowd patted the dog and contaminated the dog now its in the kibble (since 1998 tests but is showing up now)the list is getting bigger and its usually the kennels with a rather big team coming up with it and most times only gets a fine a small trainer gets suspended and a fine and its usually repeat offenders who use the in the meat excuse i think now either authorities are sick of hearing these EXCUSES and find according to what they think and i believe if its happening a lot ?? why arent the suppliers put on notice about using DEAD meat in the processing of PET or GREYHOUND RACING MEAT by the revelant authorities who licence them cheers chub.
