May 04, 2009
Fulham will undertake a three-match tour of Australia in July, with fixtures against Gold Coast United, Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory.
The Barclays Premier League club, for which Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is a star performer, have confirm the tour details .
The Cottagers' fixture against Glory on July 15 will form part of a double-header at Members Equity Stadium featuring North Queensland Fury and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have been promoted to the Barclays Premier League as Championship champions.
Perth Glory will take on Wolves at the same stadium on July 10.
Perth will then play Fury on July 18 at a regional venue in Western Australia.
Glory woner Tony Sage, who spent more than $1 million out of his own pocket to lure both Fulham and Wolverhampton to Perth, said he hoped all games would be a sell-out with the stadium having capacity increased from 18,500 to around 21,000.
And in a further boost for Glory, the club has secured a sponsorship deal worth more than $500,000 over two years with Financial and Energy Exchange.
