I posted a reply and added a link to a news post on a GRV site.

The post had to be moderated and never even appeared.

I think you are wasting too much time moderating posts manually instead of targeting your energy towards growing what could be a really good site.

Other forums allow all members to have minor moderator status which makes it a self service.

Sure you have the possibility that people may spam, promote or attach links to malicious sites but they will get picked up on fairly easily.

Just my 2cents.
