Trial Times????????

I have sent my dogs to be re-educated, and both of them will be trialing tommorow in Kempsey, i was hoping someone could tell me a good trial time for the distance. i belive that its a 350 meter trial.

any ideas on this length or others would be appreciated just so i no what to expect...

The two dogs i have are teddy bouvier ( closing argument x mrs bouvier)

and an unamed dog , ( buddah to me) wich is a bond x fortified belle

they are both around two years old

Cheers Sean

I would suggest that you have someone there at the track, to take down other dogs' trial times, just to compare, as track condition often varies from day to day, meaning times on one day can't just be compared to times on another day.

It's hard to say what would be a good time for a dog, it depends on a variety of things, such as is it their first look at the track, how much work they've had, etc.

Your trainer should be able to tell you if your dogs are any good, by watching the other dogs' trial times, rather than preempting by asking what is a good time before the dogs have even trialed.

Cheers

Look up some previous race results say for the last dozen or so meetings and average out say what maidens run, graded dogs run and what the open classes run! That should give you a fare idea, but like Lily said don't get dissapointed as there are a lot of variables when it comes to trial times!

well both dogs trialled yesty arvo.

teddy bouvier done a 350 in 22.54 and
Buddah (still unnamed) done a 21.13 the winners last race day were winning in 20.88 so hopefully he has a little improving and he may become a chance.

Cheers Sean
