Employment

hi everyone i was just wondering how on would get some info on becoming a steward any help would be great please

claffin 06-17-2008 10:27 PM

I would recommend going to your local track and asking there in the office. Im sure they would be willing to help in any way

Anyone know the pay rates of those who work on track?

rob 06-18-2008 10:15 PM

I looked into this a while ago but for the greyhounds and the money put me off. Not worth the hassle. A trainee steward was on around $30-$40k and a senior steward was on around $60-$70k a year.

I would think they might be paid more in the thoroughbred industry.

Thanks rob but thats not a bad wage, a lot of people are earning less than that per year.
What amount of hours per week do you know?
