Typhoon Tracy

Anyone see her go around yesterday?

I backed her first start which she won by 4 lengths at MV, and yesterday with another easy win. She looks like a very nice horse.

What do you think her plans will be from now on?

I actually avoided that race for betting because thought there were too many chances. I must admit though I thought she wouldnt win and was too short but like Rostova she is a very, very nice filly and I don't say that too often. They'll probably look to extend her out to 1400m I'd say because with more pace horses she wont be able to do that over 1200 but 1400 or even a mile she might go ok. She'll be around in the autumn.

She has great early speed and a very nice turn of foot in the last 200 meters that is a making of a great horse.

No actually shes not a real speedy horse she just goes through her gears nice.

Wasnt a bad field and only her second start so i think it was an impressive run.

Indeed, but labelling the horse 'great' at this stage is a bit over the top?

Morgan 01-29-2009 10:11 AM

Didnt label her great at the moment i said she has the making of a great horse, need to see her race in a bit better competition to really see how good she is.

Yes she destroyed that field and thats something you don't often see front runners do anywhere and she did the same at her first start at Moonee Valley so I've gotta say Morgan is right in saying that she has the making of a great.

She would be very tough to beat at MV as it suits front runners, plus its an advantage as a front runner never has to worry about getting boxed in or having to weave through horses in the straight.
