Raceday Etiquette??

This is probably going to sound ridiculous but is it compulsory to travel racing G'hounds to the races/trials in trailers? (or homemade cages in utes, wagons etc?). You would think the liability would be too risky not to but a trainer friend of mine said while it's not ideal it wouldn't be illegal or frowned upon either. I have travelled my G'hounds in my car for years but then again they don;t race. I have my license and intend to train 1 or 2 as a hobby but I was hoping (for now anyway) I could get away with not modifiying my car (toe bar and weights etc) and forking out 2 grand for a trailer.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

ive seen many hobby trainers transport there race dogs to the trials and races in there car, most have a station waggon and make a few small modifications, normally just a cage to stop them jumping into the back of the car but i have also seen dogs sitting on the back seat on there matt. i guess it depends on the dogs as welll, some enjoy the car trip others arnt really fans

Nothing wrong with transporting the pooch in the back of the car.
