Vic Trainer Wanted

Hey everyone,

I am in need of a trainer for my surf lorian bitch, the pre trainer was happy to train her up until today in which they messaged me and said i need to find a trainer.

Does anyone know someone willing to take on another greyhound?

jr44 12-30-2009 11:28 AM

hey m8 i might know a bloke who would consider taking her on.How did she break in and where at

Morgan 12-30-2009 12:27 PM

Hey, she has been trialling lately at Cranbourne, been hard getting much info from the pre trainer they werent very good on updates etc but they said she broke 20secs not sure what over though.

Sister to nickg's bitch who has a pretty good record over the shorts, willing to let your mate trial her a few times first if he/she wants to try her before training.

looking for 50/50 deal

jr44 12-30-2009 01:00 PM

ok m8 pm me your mobile number and i will get him to give u a call

nickg 12-30-2009 03:12 PM

shit thats no good morgan, see if you can get exact times and ill see what i can do for you

if her rimes are not up to standard it might pay to look to send her interstate

jr44 12-30-2009 03:26 PM

he said he may have room depending on times

YUTHAPINABOY 12-30-2009 03:37 PM

If that's breaking 20 over the Cranbourne 311, then heavens, that is ridiculously slow (record is 17.51). Can't be the case, otherwise the people would be telling you that she is only running "half pace, not chasing". To my limited knowledge, Nick's bitch is the only one out of the litter that is any good. The two that Team Bundy had could not "run out of sight on a dark night". Morgan, as Nick says, "get some exact times and related details". Re sending interstate, sure Victoria is undoubtedly the strongest state but a dog can't be too far below Vic standard, otherwise it will not be able to win anywhere.

jr44 12-30-2009 03:43 PM

hey does anyone know what has happened to the team bundy web site?

nickg 12-30-2009 03:45 PM

yeah if its just breaking 20, there is a problem but im guessing its either being hand slipped from behind the pen or its a trial track in cranbourne and not the actually race course

jr44 12-30-2009 04:01 PM

o shit not good nickg glad i didn't join a syndicate what is your bitches name that is half sister to morgans

Morgan 12-30-2009 06:49 PM

Hey i think that trial time was at Tooradin or the run home time at Cranbourne over 515m.

Only real time ive received was a hand slip time at Cranbourne over 311m which she ran 18.47 but was her first trial.
Been trying to get latest trial times but no answer and not replying to messages.

YUTHAPINABOY 12-30-2009 07:01 PM

JR44, yes as Nick says, TBS seems to be gon ...............e, the lights have been turned out. I have a share in a Big Daddy Cool bitch (not broken in yet) syndicated by TBS but I am feeling very confident that I and the other members of that particular syndicate are going to be OK. There certainly seems to be a genuine commitment to do the right thing by syndicate members in this case. I am confident but even if it did not turn out as I had hoped, I won't have a nervous breakdown over it, that is, as long as my wife does not find out that I had a share in a dog. If she does find out, I might start to become very nervous. I fffffffffefeel m..my spppppppeech imppppedi.......mment cccoming on. Phew that was tttough. Here she comes I better get going and finish getting her dinner.

Morgan 01-02-2010 11:26 AM

Should be getting the times soonish, hopefully the trainer will send them through in the next day or so.

jr44 01-02-2010 01:38 PM

name and shame your pre trainer mate

sounds like when she was going well they where keen to train but once she didnt go on with it have dropped off and given you little info

its a trait the litter seem to have, from what i no all broke in and looked a million dollars early but none have found any improvment at all including mine. mine was running race time at breakers and early trials at geelong suggested she was a dog of the future (20.15 first look first run from breakers) i was thinking she was a very good dog in the making but to be honest has only improved 5lens since... its a tough game mate

jr44 01-02-2010 10:44 PM

tassie?

jr44 01-03-2010 12:45 PM

all good m8 there some great dogs over here including my mates thats just finished racing he earned over 200 thousand in his carrer not bad at all

Morgan 01-06-2010 01:00 PM

Okay got a few times from the pre-trainer.

She will be paid up until this week for pre-training and will be trialled again tomorrow.

Cranbourne 520 Box to Box (Around 400m im told)

5:58 - 1st split 22:01 - Second Split

Depending on the run home time these times are around what they are running and winning 520m Maidens at Cranbourne:

Results

Cranbourne 311m from box (With other dogs pre trainer said there was a bit of bumping etc)

10:08 - 1st Split 18:57

These times are from early November so hopefully she would be doing better now with more race ecperience and fitness as these were her first runs from a spell after break in.

nickg 01-06-2010 02:02 PM

morgan to behonest with you, if that's all your pre trainer can give you after 8weeks of pre training then you have been taken for a ride mate!! with just single times for each distance you have nothing to compare with to see how much improvment she is making! you haven't said she has had setback or injurys have you? without any major setbacks you should have alot more info then that, with out a full list of all times it's hard to give you any feedback on where you can send her to place her on abilty! her 311m time if it was early on isn't the worst but at her current stage you'd want her to be going 20.20 at very worst.

your in a tough postion you live to far away to go get the dog and if you ask the trainer the hard questions they might crack it and tell you to take her rite now!! your entitled to ask the hard questions, you pay for a service and from the sounds of it not a very good one.

if be really starting to step up a gear in finding her a new home, as I said it's hard fro me to day where without a full list of trial times. as I've said it's a trait the litter have all got that they never improved much after break in.

might be worth getting onto windarra lodge where you had the dog reared and see if shandelle and ray migh give her ago for you! just explain to them you haven't been told much so you don't no if she can run or not! gte transport I'm sure do the trip to Seymour which will cost you $70-$80 and give her another 6 weeks of pre training then look at it again!

from what your saying and what you've given us, looks like you have been taken for a ride!! best advice when you speak with people inregards to pre training and training do some reasearch first, talk shit make out you no more then you do, some people see newbies as an easy target...let's hope that's not the case and you get some more info mate

good luck

Yeah mate try 10-12 weeks pre training.

Got a few more trials although the ones ive posted are the latest.

She went from 311m boxes first then stepped up in distance and had 4-5 trials box to box.

Took me 1-2 weeks to finally get times, and i think it was only because i owed them money that they got onto me.

Wanting to try and move her on ASAP like you said to actually get someone reliable to give her a shot, not really looking at paying more pre-trainer fee's after 12 weeks at $70 a week its getting a bit much.

Morgan 01-06-2010 02:12 PM

Basically im looking for someone to give her a shot, throw her into some races and see how she goes. Then if no good determine if she could be better suited elsewhere (Adelaide/Tas) if not ill just bring her home she can run around the back yard.

Gippy 01-06-2010 02:35 PM

This is Bullsit mate!!!! I agree with Nick you have been stung!!!!! 10-12 weeks pre training??????????????WTF!!!!!!!! I'll send you a PM!

Morgan 01-06-2010 02:43 PM

Yeah, about to go into a syndicate for a horse so trying to lower all my out goings for greyhounds.

Other ones i have now have trainers so there are no more costs, just this bitch :(

nickg 01-06-2010 03:34 PM

in all honesty mate I don't think you will find a trainer who will take her with no fees at this stage, they will ask what has she done, you will tell them what you've told us and they will say sorry can't do it! sounds of it she has only been to 1 track and isn't close to racing, throwing her in races now for the sake of running round is no benifit to the dog, if she is unfit and not ready to race her running 20lens last will make it harder to find an interstate trainer if needed, best bet is start fresh and do it proply now..you might be lucky and she might only need a month of paid training...but again if she isn't up to melb class you will struggle to find a trainer who will take it on 50:50 with no fees, again you will be paying more again that's why I'm suggesting get the job done rite now

I no it's not what you want to hear mate, I no you've been following my bictch through her career to date and hoping you could get yourse racing, it's not a lost cause but your going to just have to wear the costs now and get it done rite and let the pre trainer no once the dog has gone what you think of it all

just be paitent mate she is still young

Morgan 01-06-2010 04:08 PM

Yeah im happy to do that Nick although then im back to square one, and to be honest at the moment i have so many things going on its hard to find time to organise someone else to pre-train then organise to find a trainer etc after that.

Morgan 01-06-2010 04:12 PM

Would be willing to pay the trainer willing to take her on a few $$ per week until/if she starts racing.

Spoke to someone who charges $30 a week til they start racing which is pretty fair, although they are in Tassie.

nickg 01-06-2010 05:23 PM

I'm going to take a guess on what the litter has showed me there short course dogs, how about uncle coops in nsw, class is abit easier, I'm sure he will look after you $$ wise and you no you will get regular updates plus there is 636602295 tracks up there.

I have who won her maiden in melb and then sent her to Canberra and has won another 4 and 4 or 5 placings from 12 runs, now hitting the tab tracks and the prizemoney is ok

might be something to think about and it gives plenty of tracks to race at

Morgan 01-06-2010 05:39 PM

Sent Uncy Coops a PM :)

Morgan 01-08-2010 02:17 PM

She is set to head to Jedi Coops next week :)

lilyflowerandroxy 01-08-2010 04:40 PM
