Seems like varvatos will receive another warning for fighting during the Sydney Cup, whats everyones thoughts on the future of this dog?

It's sad really, i feel for the trainer and connections because you can see he has a motor. NZ may be the answer, was told recently that there are some good stake money races there but they have no stayers.

Anyone know the outcome?

Is he still able to race?

Was stood down for 28 days and needs to complete a satisfactory steward trial with 3 dogs before being cleared.

RACE 6 PAGES EVENT HIRE SYDNEY CUP FINAL – NG – 720M
COMMENT: Won by OTHERS QUOTED (4). The favourite CHINATOWN LAD (3) and
the second favourite VARVATOS (5) finished fourth and second
respectively.
INCIDENTS: GUNNADOO MAGIC (2) was slow to begin. SASSY SPRITE (6) checked
GUNNADOO MAGIC (2) at the first turn. CHINATOWN LAD (3) checked off the
heels of VARVATOS (5) on the home turn the first time around, at the turn out of the
home straight and in the back straight.
Stewards questioned the connections of VARVATOS (5) in regards to the actions of
VARVATOS (5) in the home straight. After an inquiry Stewards issued a suspension
for marring under Rule 69(2)(a). VARVATOS (5) is stood down from racing at
Wentworth Park for a period of 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory
trial with 3 other greyhounds over 520m.
The first 3 place getters in this event were locked away for swabbing under GHRRA
swabbing policy.

Thanks for the update its a shame as he is such a smart dog although we cant have fighters in the races.
