JOALDY: HEART OF A CHAMPION Lol

Just had to tell you about this special little bitch I own:

Joaldy finally broke her maiden status at her 8th start today at Mt Gambier! She had her first two starts with me in NSW, ran 3rd at her first start from box 5 after leading all the way, then fell at her next start at bathurst which saw her career temporarily ended for over 5 mths due to a ruptured wrist and ruptured shoulder muscle, so bad that the vet recommended the owner and myself to have her put down.
Before I moved to Victoria I sent her down along with bluesky libby and a few youngsters to a trainer as I had my hands full with moving.
However Joaldy is really a woman's dog, she couldn't fire for the trainer and lost her form.
I got her back 2 mths ago and brought her along slowly, had her first start for me at Bendigo, started from box 5 over the unsuitable 430m and led all the way, only just run down 1 metre before the winning post, beaten a close 3rd lol
Then next start at Horsham, box 2, I decided not to give her a stir up before the race, big mistake, she missed the jump and flopped to last place.
So today, I gave her a stir up at the track, she pinged to the lead and won easily!!

Yay! What a brave brave lassie! To come back from such a career threatening injury makes me just so proud of her.

Joaldy came on season a few days ago, scratched from a qualy on the weekend. Had a few months off due to an injury but was just coming back to her best form, trialling sensationally and nominated but didn't get a run last week at Horsham.

As she is originally in my plan as a future brood, Im thinking about whether to breed a litter with her now (someone would have to pay the stud fee, pay DNA, etc and I would be happy to whelp her on pup deal) or just bring her back into work in a few weeks time once the bleeding stops.

Doesn't worry me one way or other, but if anyone is interested in doing a pup deal with me, please post or pm me asap as Joaldy would have to be sent to studdog asap this week.

cheers

She obviously has alot of heart and that Mt Gambier win looked like a walk in ;p. I myself aren't really in a position to breed but would someone mind explaining what "pup deals" are? I've heard it used alot recently.

Hey might be best to post pedigree and race results etc to show breeding potential.

hach - pup deals vary for each person but most run around the form of you take the bitch for fre in return the owner of the bitch gets a pup type thingyo.
