Greyhound Racing South Australia - Trainer

Greyhound Racing South Australia - Application Forms

hopefully these links will help you a bit, there is usually some trainers out there willing to give you hand, especially if you advertise on here to do some kennel work gain a bit more experience, go out to the tracks and have a chat with a few, good luck :)

you can always get a dog and get someone to train it for you until you get some experience behind you

TheChook 11-04-2010 03:54 PM

Kyleigh is spot on. Best way is to buy your own racer and have someone train it. All good and well to get the hands on experience but i feel theres stacks more incentive if you actually own a dog. Plenty of trainers in SA who should help out.

Its not the training thats the hard part of dogs, theres just a million more things to em which makes the over all job tough. But #1 rule is your concern must always be for the wellbeing and safety of the dog. So best thing is to get experience, as once u have the general knowledge you should be able to go from there and with confidence.

Kyleigh 11-04-2010 10:06 PM

I would. Love it if mine only cost 70 a week lol most trainers do a 50/50 rate

TheChook 11-04-2010 11:26 PM
