he is the first i have owned and he has won 4 from 12 for us (drawing box 4 about 6 times!!)

hopefully he can make it back to the big smoke for us.

yeah he is bred really well and luckily for us we got him on the cheap (due to circumstances with owner) even after he had trialled well, all inclusive it was around $4,000 to buy him and get him down here

he's run of horrid draws continue's with box 5 in race 1 at the meadows this saturday night.

if he can cross then or sit outside the leader early i give him a rough chance.

smart field though.

Vinnie jumped like a speeding bullet and gave us one hell of a sight!!

unfortunately it has probably sunk in he is not a 525 dog,

that was a very smart race though and to only be beaten a neck or so to 2nd, and 3.75l or so all up was a brave effort.

although its only 10metres less,

he will win @ Sandown on Wednesday, don't think he will be any price, r9 n3 if any of you like taking the shorts - i wont be.

i think realistically he is going to be a good country dog who will go through his grades at geelong/ballarat and alike.

after having a closer look the race isn't as bad as i first thought,

regatta bale wasnt too far away (10 lenghts) in Paddy's Flame heat last wednesday @ warrnambool...

it does look the only danger imo.

it was a great thrill to be there and cheer him all the way from the back straight to the winning post!!!

he is no star but a genuine trier imo.

if we could build his strength up a little bit to be strong on the line at 525 then im sure he could win races at the meadows.

I must also mention the trainer Joe Xerri, although he doesnt have many dogs he has been very helpful and most importantly extremely honest throughout the whole process. He has done a wonderful job with vinnie so far and hopefully in the future i can have a few more dogs with him.

Also his son, has a great eye for a dog, he plucked this one from nowhere for a cheap price and they also have two other pups, im in one, that had their first trial monday night, at the meadows, running something like 4.81 and the record is 4.77 so hopefully we can have a bit of fun with that one.

Onwards and upwards!!!

some people definitely have an eye for the good dogs, one of our customers picked a dog up for less than a few hundred and has proceeded to get him to trial sub 30 at Angle park, whether he puts it together in a race is yet to be seen but it is still flying by any measure.

Well done Magivor it is always great fun watching your dog cross the finishing line first.
