Standing Start
 
can anyone tell me how much a dog loses from a standing start against a flying start been reading some times from thirlmer track and if every one is not telling porkies spud the pup is well behind some say 11.4 sec for hand slip one even says 10.55 sec for last section spud went 13sec but that was from a standing start was let go at point at which run home time starts will bring him back about 20mtrs next sunday so he can have momentum up at start of timing but is any time lost and app how much from a standing start very bemused billy bones

well we spud through his paces again he improve 9.2tenths app 12lengths 13.08 sec down to 12.16 sec still not up there but big improvement for a 15mnth old. the down side is he has a very bad running action all over the place bounced of the running rail a couple of times a trainer told me to put up the appin straight a ccouple of times to try and correct his action i will try this but has any one got any other ideas on how to correct this problem or will the dog just naturaly do it himself cheers billy bones
