Golden Easter Egg

I see fixed prices are up on heats and final....Any thoughts on who will win the whole thing?

Empire_by_21 03-18-2010 09:04 PM

I have a few picked out early.

My pick to win it is GOODSEY @ $13

My Value picks that could be worth getting on are

SHIRL'S MAGIC @ $51
ACCOUNTS @ $61
CLARK NO EE @ $51

These greyhounds are all very strong and that will take them along way i think

I don't have any confident predictions about a likely winner but one thing I do know for certain is that in general pre-heat feature race markets are a joke, you don't have to be a mathematical genius to come to that conclusion.

I like Clark no ee as well $61 to win final, but I am more interested in the $13 in sats heat...have to do some more form though. The 3.50 a place looks ok as well, it will be steaming home and if there is trouble. I may be laying birthday boy @4.50 in its heat, drawn wrong side.

Sportsbet have Goodsey at $26 and if he draws a box in the final then i would think he will start favourite. He has a bad box tonight but if he gets a clear run they wont beat him. Clark No Ee is drawn outside him and is a BRILLIANT place bet tonight. A few of these dogs spit it in if they dont lead and you knoe Clark No Ee will be storming home and i have no doubt he will at the very least run into 3rd.

let u all into a little secret Goodsie's new half owners have reportedly bought out the other half share and in ------my opinion----- u have seen the last of him racing....... to the stud farm after tonights race. I believe pressure from new studmaster and part owner has got his way.

stud?? bahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhaha in my 28 years that is the funniest thing ive ever heard

the dog is seriously fast no doubting that

he has no box speed which does not suit australian racing
his chase at times has been iffy plenty more of them at stud to choose from with better records
his track sense isnt the best
he has won what? few fast times around the country track
he has raced 5th grade dogs, tonight his first real test against good group dogs and he flops in a heat
his run before was disgraceful
he has won 3 races at 1 city track, of his 21 starts 18 have been on 3 tracks
flopped at the meadows, flopped at maitland and wow he won at appin

LMAO STUD???

ummm no thanks ill stick to my shitzu

good fast dog, as fast as any going around but fair go....he hasnt done enough to go to stud yet...maybe they see a few traits they dont like and if they continue on they will become bigger problems

got china written all over him cause no breeder in there rite mind will send a good brood to him early on when quality and numbers really count

Questionable.

I layed him for the egg heats and final. I publicly gave him not a single chance in the world of being competitive in the Egg and agree with all the points you layed out about him above.

However, there is no doubting this dog has a motor which one out, would probably be unmatched by very few dogs in Australia, if any.

His run at Bulli over the 515m, was freaking ridiculous. He recorded literally an unrealistic 28.38. That my friend, its out-ragingly quick..and sent the track record spiraling out of this world...

He did clock 29.74 from a squeeze box around Wentworth Park so that dismisses he cant go around a circle.

The fact is his early sectionals in hot races will fuck him up always.

However, If he goes to Stud, people will come because of his motor and speed and hope they dont get a spastic out of boxes. If you ask any dog trainer, who has the most raw talent in Australia, Goodsey will be in your top 3. Ask them who has the best chance of winning Group 1's, he wont be in your top 20. Well, not the smart people lol...

Verdict: I do not think people will flock to Goodsey at Stud, but he will get his flow of customers...
