Race Location Database

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone would have a list of ALL racing locations in Australia.

I have searched everywhere but cannot find a consolidated list of all locations.

Your help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I may be able to help as I run the Greyhound Breed Database which has all the Australian greyhound results going back to the 1960's. Was thinking of putting in an information section where there would be details of every greyhound racetrack in Australia, added.
If members think it's a worthwhile thing to do, then I can start setting it up asap.

cheers

i no something i would like to see is not only the tracks but what distance they are so i can get more of a perspective when some one says they trialed at glengary in 17.09 ( no one has said that just an example) i no what it will be approximatly over the 350 meters on my home track.

Thanks for the suggestion, I am now looking at setting it up ;-) Have already just started putting up the Greyhound Tracks in Australia this morning, fastest times for 2009 and the distances etc.

Oneforluck, many tracks have different shapes even if they have the same distance, so really can't compare times for one track to another track.

For example Cowra has 453m, and dogs usually run between 26.40 to 27.60 on average. Bathurst has 450m, and dogs run an average of 26.40 or better, averaging 25.80 to 26.30.

It was set up by a group of people, but they all had other businesses to do and I asked them if they were interested in handing the website over to me to manage, just before Xmas in 2008.

It has become quiet of late though like some sites, I don't know why, perhaps people don't think there is a need for it or perhaps they don't like some members on there lol

Hopefully once the database is updated to the very minute, members might start to take an interest.

Any other helpful suggestions is welcome!

Racing locations

I have all the racing venues stored, with the codes used by the different TABs and SKY. PM me and I will email it to you. What format do you want it in? Do you want all 3 codes or just dogs?
