Mad Rush made up that much ground in the last 200 that it was insane, but didnt exactly smash the clock. Then you got this horse Barbarricus who couldnt win donkey handicaps at Moonee Valley only a couple of months ago and at the 200 he was asking to be swamped; went out hard early to get some ground from that wide barrier, led most of the way - but only 2 passed him... Just a theory
