Aussie Shanes reign in Royals IPL win
Andrew Symonds gave another superb batting demonstration but his bowling allowed Shane Warne's Rajasthan Royals to grab a seven-wicket victory in the Indian Premier League match in Hyderabad.
Symonds blazed 117 not out off 53 balls as the Deccan Chargers amassed 5-214 off their 20 overs.
But he was the last bowler for the Chargers and conceded 45 runs off just 17 balls as Warne got his team got home with one ball to spare at 7-217.
Warne struck a six for the winner and finished 22 not out off nine balls.
South African Graham Smith made 61 from 28 and Yusuf Pathan was man of the match for his 71 runs from 45 balls plus two wickets.
It was the Chargers' third consecutive loss.
"I've probably bowled the worst last over in Twenty20 history. Twenty20 is good for the game but not for the ego," Symonds was quoted as saying on the Cricinfo website.
