hi guys,
please forgive my lack of knowledge about greyhound racing,


my questions are ,


i have been thinking of getting a dog that has already raced ,

is it possible to look after and exersize a dog and race it without a trainer ? could i do it myself ?

i was thinking of just racing in the country , im not looking for a champion just for a dog to learn the ropes with, then keep it later on as a pet ,

as cheap as possible ?


what is involved once i have a dog ? do i need to get a trainer licence ?

can the dog go straight in races or would need to do a pre race trial ?


i am a pensioner , but not a blugger as i do have a part time job, for the last 8 years with coles supermarket , but i am not very rich , but i do look after my animals so the dog would be well looked after ,


i have always wanted to have a race dog ,

please guys any help with info would be real great,
