Only if you can pick them at the right price.

Yes, but you would want to be getting them to place 1/3 and winning 1/10 to be profitable..If you are confident you can do that, then you are laughing.

Remember, alot of money in punting is dead money. And by that, I mean people at the TAB following everyone else. Dogs that should be $3.00 gets crunched into odds on because someone has 2k on it..then aabout 10 people see the big move for it, so they follow it and next think you know, its going around a $1.60 fav... Backing double figure odds is great if you can find the right dog. Dont be afraid to back afraid to back a 6-7-8 dollar shot because if you think the dog is nearly the best in the race, well there is your value.
