HAWKESBURY R1: No.2 ELUSIVE LAD will probably be short but i feel it's the top chance in this race. Has a 1st and a 2nd recently on the track and enjoys the distance. Will probably just back this to win. 7 horse race. may not be worth a place bet.

elusive lad finished 2nd at $1.10. i left it alone due to it's small place price. $1.10 is way to short to back with an eachway bet for me. Sometimes you have a selection you are keen on but you must leave it alone due to price and size of the field!
MACEDONIAN copped a huge check at the start of the turn, never recovered. No bet placed as the field restricted the place pay outs to 1st and 2nd. I only ever bet if my chances of a return are high. Having only 2 places paying out reduces my chances of getting a return. Here is where the patience to wait comes into play.
but so far not a great start for my tipping. but at least the bank stays intact
