A good break in time for the 300 is around 18.50. Allthough I have seen dogs break in at 19.50 ending up better that the quick ones. They maybe sore after the work they have gone through while being broke in. Thats why trainers give them a month or two to get over any injury they might have had and then trial them again to see what times they run again. Until then I wouldn't worry too much. My mate had a dog that was broken in there and it run 19.05 the day he took her home. She has now won 4 races from 8 starts. 3 country and one TAB. Don't give up on your dog yet my friend you might end up with a good one.
