Rockstar Image will look to bring down the curtain on Miss Elly Mint’s amazing win streak which has reached twelve and upstage wonder dog Size Can Matter in Tuesday night’s $25,000 to-the-winner Group Two Gosford Woy Woy Poultry Gold Cup final over 515 metres.

While Miss Elly Mint will dominate pre-final discussion along with flying Queenslander Size Can Matter who recorded the fastest heat win, Rockstar Image goes into the race with Owner and Trainer Nicholas Healey riding support from the clouds as his beloved chaser strives to taste group glory for the first time.

An inside box may be the biggest concern for Healey who would have preferred a wide draw as the son of Big Daddy Cool likes to use a bit of the track. Miss Elly Mint again gets the perfect slot to butter up for win number thirteen in a row and the Sunshine state’s action sprinter Size Can Matter undoubtedly will be confident of adding to his five wins from six starts out of box eight.

Another highlight of the final is the feats of super-mum Thai Again who has produced three finalists in Thai Alert, Hendrix and Repeated with a fourth son Radio Star second emergency. Thai Alert looks to be the pick of the litter as he could get dangerous on the back of Miss Elly Mint.

Gosford G.B.O.T.A secretary Kevin Keys couldn’t have scripted a better field from last week’s four heats and the final promises to be one of the highlights on the 2009 New South Wales greyhound racing year.

Not much more can be said about the super bitch of the moment. She will be gunning for win number thirteen in a row and from a lovely inside draw, it is hard to see her not being the one to catch.

Chased hard behind Miss Elly Mint last week but as many a greyhound have discovered, running her down at the present is not possible. He should find some déjà vu here as he is boxed to get on her back in running.

In career best form where she recently claimed The Gardens GRNSW Country Challenge final with a run that had to be seen to be believed. She cannot afford to be tardy from the traps tonight as she has class all around her.

Benefited from having a preview of the track a week prior to last week’s heat and was just run down by Rockstar Image in fast time. He has never won from a box wider than five so will need all the breaks.

Heat: 1st running 30.43, beating Lucky Fina by 1 length

This big black hulking railer did what he does best in his heat, bulldozing his way through on the fence to punch through for a strong win. His task tonight is much harder as he will be have to bump out brothers Hendrix and Thai Alert to find the inside lane.

Heat: 1st running 29.84, beating Seditious by 9 lengths

Set alight the Gosford track last week recording easily the quickest time of the night and gapping his heat rivals by nine lengths. His record from wide boxes is virtually flawless and with railer Repeated next to him, he looks to be the one that gets the better of Miss Elly Mint.

Led to the shadows of the post before being ambushed on the line in her heat and would need to sneak into an inside box to have a say in this top quality final.
